The Ohio State University is committed to providing our students with the best laundry experience possible. To ensure this, we have partnered with industry leaders Caldwell & Gregory.

Our laundry rooms make it simple for students to get their clothes clean so they can get back to enjoying campus life.

This page will give you basic instructions on how to wash your clothes, use the machines, report service problems, and use the Speed Queen App.

WASHING YOUR CLOTHES

  • Only load front load washer to half-full. Top load washers no higher than the top row of holes.

Double-check fabric labels for recommended water temperature settings.

  • Add no more than 1/4 cup of liquid detergent or one pod to the washer tub. Only use high-efficiency (HE) detergent.

Detergent pods go into the washer drum before adding your clothes. Do not put these in the detergent drawer!

For liquid fabric softener, please refer to directions on the bottle.

  • Washer door will lock about 30 seconds after the cycle starts. It will unlock about 30 seconds after cycle is finished.

Please leave washer door/lid open after use to allow the interior to dry.

DRYING YOUR CLOTHES

  • Check the lint filter before using the dryer. A clean lint trap speeds up drying time.

  • Double-check fabric labels for recommended heat temperature settings.

Athletic clothing must be dried on low heat, or it may melt!

    Air-dry bras per manufacturer recommendations.

  • Do not overload the machine.

Only use 1 dryer sheet per load.
